Agency Analytics is your own agency's financial picture — what you're earning, from which clients, across which services. It's your books, not a client's.
Access needs the View agency financials permission. Owners and admins have it automatically.
Set it up first
Two setup steps decide how useful everything else is, and both are easy to skip.
Connect your accounting. Xero or QuickBooks. Without one, Analytics still shows numbers, but they're a baseline built from your client and service records rather than your actual books. Useful for a rough shape, not for decisions.
Run the history sync. Connecting gets you the current month only. Go to Agency Analytics → Setup, set the date you started using your accounting tool, and start the sync. It pulls a month at a time with a progress count, and you need to leave the page open while it runs.
While you're in Setup, tag your clients to services. That's what lets revenue split by service line, and it's the reason that particular chart is blank for most new accounts.
What you're looking at
Date range sits at the top and drives everything below it. This month, last month, rolling 3, 6 or 12 months, this year, last year, all time, or a custom range.
Key metrics summarise the selected range.
Revenue by service splits your income across your service lines. Needs clients tagged to services.
Client breakdown lists each client with their status and what they've brought in, which is the fastest way to see concentration — how much of your revenue depends on how few relationships.
Past due surfaces what's owed and overdue.
Stripe alongside your accounting
If you've connected Stripe, its revenue feeds in too. The two answer different questions: Stripe is what actually landed in your account, accounting is the fuller picture including invoiced-but-unpaid.
A gap between them is usually real rather than a sync problem.
Adding clients as you grow
New clients need tagging to a service the same way, or they'll appear in the client breakdown but not in the service split. Worth doing when you add them rather than in a cleanup later.
Troubleshooting
The whole tab is empty or I'm redirected away
See Why is my Analytics tab empty? — there are four distinct causes and they look alike.
Only recent months show
The history sync hasn't run, or was interrupted by navigating away. Setup, start it again; it resumes rather than restarting.
Revenue by service is blank
Clients need tagging to services in Setup.
The numbers don't match my accounting software
Check your date range first. After that, the usual cause is the history sync not having finished, so earlier months are partly missing.
A colleague can't open Analytics
They need the View agency financials permission, and the tool enabled for their user. See Roles and permissions.
